New year, new website

Where has the time gone. It’s been nearly a year since my last update. No new pack members to mention but we have got a nice shiny new website. OK, it’s the same site but it is running on a nice shiny new web server courtesy of our friends at 252 Digital UK. Now I’m certainly not an expert but I’m told that this website Is hosted in a Linux container, ...

Busy

It’s been very busy at The Pack over the past few months which is why I’ve been a bit quiet. (Ed: Vino is known for not being in the least quiet) With the warmest summer for many a long year the visting members have been spending a long time with the rest of The Pack. For me, I am glad the F1 season is coming to an end, that means I don’t have to watch any more of the things going round and round. ...

Specs

It looks like my pen friend Lilli, now needs spec’s.

Bitcoin

I have no idea what Bitcoin is, I mean, who would want a bit of a coin, surely the whole thing would be more useful? Anyway, I have been receiving a large number of emails recently regarding bitcoin. Apparently, I am, or very soon could be, a very successful Bitcoin trader. Some emails even provide a username and password for a trading account. Do these people not realise I am in fact a Border Collie … ...

Sleepover

My Mum had an overnight stay for her birthday and Mothers day. Not my birthday and I’m not a mother - but I too had an overnight stay with The Pack. I was lucky enough to have my nice new bed with me so I felt right at home. The Pack do have an early start though, up and about by 6a.m. …

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas one and all. Peace and goodwill wishes to everyone, especially members of The Pack. Award for best Christmas card this year goes to Lilli:

Email

I received an offensive email this morning! The subject line read: “You are stupid Vino!”. How very rude. The email went on, “You must be stupid if you still buy can of bis from dealers …”. I asked my Mum about this and she thought it might be related to lobsters and we could probably get it from the supermarket. If it is available locally then I don’t see why I should click the links in the email, none of which seemed related to any supermarket. ...

Nine

Memorable weekend, nine members of The Pack here today. Roll Call: Queenie Spixie Tera Bria, first time at a pack meetup. Bob me Taz Maud and Margot the Whippets

Spam email

I’ve written before about spam Now I’ve received an email on the subject from my pen pal Lilli. Woof I saw on your blog that you like spam, I hope you like the attached. This picture was attached to her email. Lilli is very well travelled having spent some time in Sardinia and now living in Cape Town.

Spam

Spam, I thought it came in a tin. But as it turns out spam is something to do with emale (Ed: Vino not known for her spelling), whatever that is. Now that I have my own emale address (vino@the-pack.co.uk) I hope I don’t get too much spam, unless someone sends some in a tin of course :-)

Oh I say

Oh I say, was that really necessary. Go away for a day or two and one comes back to find a new arrival. And it’s a puppy. Ed: Vino means Tera I really don’t think it was necessary. Only plus side I can see is that it does sleep a lot.

Fireworks

Thank goodness firework night is over for another year. It really is too much. Why do we have to put up with fireworks which sound like war has broken out? Last night was the final straw - 11:30 p.m. and they started. Really, some of us are trying to get some sleep! Quiet fireworks or no fireworks please!

Devastated

The Pack is devastated that Maggie is no longer with us…. She had just beaten a chest infection but after a very short illness she passed away today. Big loss to The Pack.

New website

We’ve got a new look to our website … Our IT team has been hard at work creating a new site for us. It was left to me to write a few words about it, looks OK to me. There you go, a few words. Enjoy!

Its Christmas

It’s Christmas!! Which puts me in mind of a song by Slade … We had our Christmas party this week. I think there may have been karaoke, which is why I mentioned Slade, at one point I might have imagined myself as Noddy Holder singing “It’s Christmas” at the top of my voice. Crikey, I do hope it’s just my imagination. Ed: There is photographic evidence to the contrary Vino

Overdue update

It’s been a while but life has been a bit hectic. Few things to write about - There is a new kid on the block - Spixie My chums have been having some building work done. Part of the building included a new outside shower. There was me thinking it was a bit small for the humans to use but it turns out it is intended to wash The Pack. For some reason they keep calling it Vino’s Palace and laughing - I can’t see the funny side. ...

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everybody. What with one thing and another it was a funny old Christmas. My friend (most of the time) Bob went down with a bout of Pancakeitis. Now I’m not sure how he got this because I’m pretty sure no pancakes were handed out. Ed: What Bob actually had was Pancreatitis … As Bob was not feeling very well we all missed out on some treats which made me sad, I do like to lick the left over gravy …

Under the weather

Been a bit under the weather lately … Had to go and see the vet - wouldn’t mind normally, he’s nice enough. Did object this time though as he jabbed me with something called aunty-biotic. Apparently this will sort me out but it sure did sting. Hooray - I knew if I kept at it I wouldn’t have to do it anymore - working sheep that is. Cracking good at getting them into groups of one but apaprently they are supposed to be in bigger groups than that. ...
